Assistive Technology for a Better Educational Experience

Our expert staff provides guidance about Assistive Technology and accessibility to support education and instruction at Harvard University.

We offer demonstrations of both assistive hardware, such as ergonomic keyboards and mice, and software, including dictation and text-to-speech, to all members of the Harvard community. If you would like a demonstration, please contact us at atc@fas.harvard.edu to set up an appointment.

Our Academic Services for Students

We’re here to support your educational experience at Harvard, and to help mitigate barriers you may encounter. We provide assistive technology services for eligible Harvard University students to promote equitable and effective learning. These services are provided in partnership with University Disability Resources, and Harvard’s Local Disability Coordinators.

If you think you need our academic services, which include Braille, tactile graphics, and electronic text, please contact your Local Disability Coordinator.

Faculty and Course Staff Support

We are proud to have been partners with Harvard Faculty and teaching staff for over 20 years. We are happy to work with course staff on remediating materials to meet student needs, or to support course staff with instruction if they wish to do the work on their own.

We loan out specialized laptops that students can use for quizzes, tests, midterms or exams, where it is not appropriate for students to use their own.

If you are a member of course staff looking to reserve a laptop for a student in your class, please fill out our request form.
